Please try these troubleshooting steps on all PC versions:
- Verify that your PC meets the minimum required specs.
- Make sure your drivers and Windows are up to date.
- Restart your computer.
- Run the game as Administrator.
- Check if antivirus or other software on your PC is interfering.
- Check your firewall settings for the game (e.g. excluding Tetris Effect: Connected from Windows Defender).
- Uninstall and reinstall the game.
On Steam:
- Restart Steam.
- Make sure you are launching the game directly from the Steam launcher.
- Clear your Download Cache.
- Repair Library Folder: The Steam library folder contains all of your installed games on disk.
- These folders need to be writable by all users in order to update properly. Sometimes these user permissions break and need to be refreshed. Navigate to your Steam > Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders > Right click on folder > Repair Library Folder.
- Verify the integrity of the game files (instructions here).
- Disable Steam Overlay (Properties > GENERAL > disable "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game")
On Epic Games:
- Check to see if your Epic Games Launcher is out of date. It contains a file that, if present and out of date, can cause problems.
If these have not solved your issue, please submit a ticket.
